St. Brigid – Walking Pilgrimage

Want to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope but can’t make it to Rome? Join us on a half-day walking pilgrimage to our local Holy Doors. Register today and invite your friends!

Date: Saturday, September 6

Time/Distance/Location:

  • 6:30 am walk from Saint Brigid Parish to St. Joseph’s Cathedral
  • 10:30 am Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral

Many ways to participate:

  1. Walk the full route, starting at Saint Brigid Parish (9 miles one way). A group will depart from Saint Brigid at 6:30 am.
  2. Join partway, starting at the Old Town Trolley Station (3.5 miles one way). The walking group is expected to pass by Old Town around 8:30 am.
  3. We will reach the final stretch at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Little Italy at around 9:45.
  4. Attend Mass only at St. Joseph Cathedral, which will be celebrated by Father Steve Callahan at 10:30 am.
  5. After Mass, you’re welcome to stay and enjoy lunch in Little Italy before heading back to your original starting point. You can return by walking, taking the trolley, or using a rideshare — it’s completely up to you.
